blurb coming soon…
Shattered
Quinn Rafferty is working as a bounty hunter and bail bondsman in St. Louis when a new neighbor catches his eye. He’s tempted by her beauty—but he knows from experience that anyone desperate enough to live in his building is damaged goods. Besides, he has his own soul to mend before he can worry about anyone else.
Desperate
Sarah McElya is on the run, but not for the usual reasons a woman goes on the lam. She’s not an abused wife, and she’s not a criminal. But she does have a plan for her future. And as much as she finds herself attracted to her gruff, tough neighbor, she can’t risk telling him the secrets she’s hiding. There’s just too much at stake.
Driven to desire…
But Quinn must get closer to Sarah when she turns out to be the target of his new missing persons case, and he discovers that there is something more complex and dangerous to her than he thought. Now, both Quinn and Sarah will have to expose their true feelings—as well as their fragile hearts—if they hope their love will survive…

A beauty!!! Just a few months to go! Is it going to be a series with the same character over many books…like Urban Fantasy?
February 20, 2008 at 3:11 pm
Cathie, no, the book is a romance. It’s most likely going to be a series, but the next book will feature different characters.
I think it probably has an urban fantasy feel to it, maybe a blend of the two, I dunno. Haven’t figured out yet how to categorize it.

I can’t remember where I heard about Through the Veil but it lodged itself in the back of my head for awhile and when I saw it at the bookstore, I just had to buy it. I’m so glad I did. I so enjoyed it that I’m really hoping there’s going to be more.

Just finished reading it last night and OMG … it was the BEST books I have read in a LONG time.
Needless to say it will be on the top shelf of my bookcase which holds “special” books.

Hi Melissa…glad you enjoyed Veil. When it released, it did well enough that my editor definitely wants another book…Morne’s is going to be written sometime this next year and probably released in 2010. A wait, I know, but I’m swimming in projects…

Hi Megan
Yes, there’s going to be another book after Veil. At least one more, possibly two more after that, just depends on the stories.

I have been wanting a book about Quinn ever since I read Fragile. He is another tortured soul in need of saving.
