About Me
I really hate the ‘tell me about yourself’ things.
I have three beautiful kids and a husband that spoils me rotten, and then he wants to know why I’m so difficult. I have a job that I love~I write for a living, and it’s all I ever wanted to do when I grew up. I used to work as a nurse, and still do, when my old manager can nag me into picking up a few shifts.
I can’t recall when I started writing as a hobby sort of thing. Middle school or earlier. I’ve been published since July 2003 (I think). I worked full time, as well as writing up until April of 2004 (I think) when I quit the nursing to stay home and write. It was a gamble, but I’m glad I did it.
My published books are all romance. Although I do like to dabble with sci fi and fantasy, I’ve yet to publish anything in those genres.
Hard to, when I don’t ever finish them. Most of my books are erotic romance, although some are a little more traditional. I tend to veer into the paranormal area a lot, but I’ve also written romantic suspense and contemporary. If you’re curious about my books, you can visit my website.
I live in the Midwest and I love it. I visited Ireland and I loved it. I visited Alaska and I loved it. Now I want to go back to Ireland, Alaska, and see a few places I haven’t been to yet.
Besides writing, I love to read and I love photography, although I don’t know if I’m any good at that one.
If you’d like to be kept up to date on new releases and current projects, you can send an email to shilohnews@insightbb.com.
This will only used to keep readers up to date and the addies won’t be shared with anybody for any reasons. And since I’m… uh… kind of promo lazy, you’ll only get the newsletters when there is either a book released or something else equally cool.
About the blog
I don’t have a lot of rules.
- I do ask that you refrain cheating in my contests. If I find you are cheating, I’ll just pull your name and bar your IP addy anyway, so it’s not worth it.
- I do ask that you show respect when commenting on my blog. Whether you like a person or not, no attacks. I can’t play moderator, keep the blog friendly and still write-well, I could, but I’m not inclined to, so I won’t. So if I perceive something as attack against a fellow commentor, an author, an astronaut, the Pope, my dog, etc…I reserve the right to delete the comment. It’s not something that is likely to happen often. With the exception of spam, I’ve deleted less than five comments in the time since I started the blog.
- I do ask that you keep away from hot spots like religion, politics, etc. We’re all entitled to our viewpoints and too often when these things get discussed, people forget to respect another’s point of view, and like I’ve already mentioned, respecting fellow visitors is one of my few rules.
- For authors, please do NOT use my blog to promote your work. It will get deleted.

You’re an amazing writer and I thank you for sharing your talents with us readers. I’m very much into your contemporary erotic stories and have read at least four of them – so far.
Thanks again!

Hello Paula.
Thank you!

I’m incredibly impressed that a nurse can write so well. Nursing for 10+ years has ruined what ability I had. Because of having to chart clearly and concisely, most comments I make are only one or two brief sentences.
September 7, 2008 at 12:33 pm
*G* Yeah, but charting is boring. I hated charting.
Writing’s not…plus, I can (and I’m expected) to elaborate with writing so that makes it even more fun.

Same here. Didn’t know that you had a blog. Loved your books from the Hunter Series. I will be reading more of your books.

I had no idea you had a blog either. I’m a little flustered at that fact. Well I’m sure you hear it enough but you’re a great author. Thank you for keeping me entertained and inventing men that are so drool worthy.

LOL… well, I resisted going into blogging for a while. Caved a couple of years ago.

I was looking up other books by you since i found a couple by you and loved them and i came across an author by the name of Vonna Harper on BN.com who’s book “Dangerous Ride” had the summary of your book, Hunters: Interlude, as its summary. ?? Is that a mistake or are you Vonna? Just a little confused. lol
June 3, 2009 at 7:50 am
LOL…nope, I’m not Vonna. that’s weird. it happens, sometimes. I’ve got a book somewhere listed mine that is nothing even close to mine…

Shiloh: I enjoy your books sooo much! My first was “Fragile”, about 3 weeks ago. Since then I have ordered and read about 8 or 10 more. Some have not arrived yet. Haven’t got into the “Hunter” series yet, but intend to soon. The characters are deep and moody,(just like me), and full of interesting twist. Most importantly, they have fabulous endings.I can barely wait for the next one to arrive. Most books I buy, I trade in, not yours. Yours I keep. Luv,Luv,Luv your books. Thanks so much! Donna

Wow, Donna-thank you! Got you hooked that quick, huh?
Thank you!

I live in Indianapolis. I’m reading your book, “Chains”. Great read, btw, highly recommend it. When I got to the part where Deacon and Renee mention living in Fishers and Carmel, I was forced (in the same way one is forced to eat chocolate) to look up your bio to see if you are from Indy. Your books and writing style are a great pleasure to indulge in. If it’s too hot to garden….one can always read. Thanks for another enjoyable summer book.

*G* I’m frequently forced to eat chocolate, so I totally understand the predicament.
Indy as in the city…nope. But not too far away. Glad you’re enjoying CHAINS!

I haven’t read your Hunter series = YET… but I am a big fan of your single titles…
Beautiful Girl is still my Fav – even the newly release one… Fragile – I think I am more interested in the delicios brother in the shadows, can’t wait for march 2010 to get here…
Did you eventually get to the UK yet….

Hi there, I just now stumbled onto your site. I too am from the midwest (Chicago) but now live in the Seattle area. I also work in health care as a medical technologist. BTW, I love to write, but reading is “funner”! You seem like an author I can really get into since I like the genre you write in. Is this your blog? if not, please direct me! I’d like to try winning your book to jump-start my interest, is this the place? In any event, I’m going to keep my eyeballs on you!
