First off…got the cover for my ebook coming out from EC in Feb. This is a Hunter’s world story.
An excerpt was posted a few days ago, but if you missed it, here’s the link.
Now…about the Hunter books. This is one of my more popular series. I know a lot my readers really enjoy it and I’m so grateful for all the support you have given me. If it wasn’t for how many people were buying the ebooks, chances are my editor at Berkley wouldn’t have heard about them and decided to check me out…which means I may not be writing for them.
All that support means the world and I thank you.
I’ve mentioned a few times that I’m going to put a different focus on these books. Hopefully, you’ll continue to support me as I make the change.
Basically, as things stand now, Belonging will be the last Hunter book released in ebook.
Future Hunter books will come out from Berkley. These will be longer books. The stories will be more in depth and more intense, hopefully they will be as good as the original stories.
Right now, there is a Hunter book coming out in print in 12/09. There’s another one in the works that will be out in 2010 or early 2011. I’m not going to be putting them out as often, and I’m sorry but the world is just getting more complicated. More complicated tends to need a longer length, they require more time.
Again, I appreciate all the support I’ve gotten from those who like my Hunters. I love writing them and I plan on writing much more within that world.

You hooked me with Hunter’s Choice. I’ll wait as long as I have to. And I don’t do that for many
January 29, 2009 at 12:39 am
I’ll still be waiting for each one – I have since Tori and Decan first scrolled across my screen – and I’m still here.
Well, Blue has something to do with that too

I really like that cover. I look forward to the longer Hunter books.

The Hunters series is one of my favorites. I’m really looking forward to reading the new books. I’d keep reading this series no matter what format it was in. It’s addicting.
January 29, 2009 at 4:21 pm
What a fabulous cover–I’m glad you’re continuing this series!
January 29, 2009 at 5:30 pm
Another one I’ll be snapping up.
March 2, 2009 at 10:12 pm
I’m hoping you revisit Mike and Leandra… That’s the first Hunter book I read and being an IRR book lover, I miss them!
March 3, 2009 at 2:48 am
I don’t have any concrete plans to revisit them, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. They may make another appearance later one. Just don’t know… glad you enjoyed it.
If you like IRR, my book THE MISSING is also IR. It’s paranormal, but it’s based on psychics rather than vamps/shifters.

Thank you much Miss Ma’am for the heads up. It sounds like it’s right up my alley.. Getting kinda burned out on the vamps/weres/selkies/etc. LOL.
So I’ll get get it now! Thanks again!

I love your books. Got Belonging and read it on the same day. I have all the Hunters books and look forward to the new ones. Plus I think I’m only missing about 3 of your e-books. You’re writing is too addicting!

I truely love your books! I cant get enough of the Hunters Series! I just got back from Hawaii and i took 4 of them with me and read them all while sitting on the beach! My husband really enjoyed the mood they put me in as well! I have purchsed all of them and will support you in any form that the books come out in. I have already read beloning and it was great. I cant wait for the Hunters Edge in April. I do hope that you will still keep writing the series- keep us up to date on our old fav’s like Eli and Malachi( two of my fav’s) Also i truely hope that somewhere out there Agnes find a love after everything she has been thru. I just wanted to show you my support and see if you have any hints about the changes you will be doing with the series!
Much love and success
Angie =)

Thanks, Angie.
I’m not stopping the series, don’t worry. But there will be fewer books. Since I’m only writing them for Berkley now, I can’t put them out as often. But the series isn’t going anywhere, at least not for a while yet. I’ve still got more stories in my head.
Thank you!

I was curious to find out what the best reading order for the Hunters series is. I just got into reading your books with the purchase of Hunting the Hunter (which I now see is book 7). I would appreciate any help.
March 18, 2009 at 4:22 am
Hi Val
the order is listed on my site if you need to refer back to it.
http://shilohwalker.com/hunters.htm
Hunting the Hunter was written to work as a standalone and from there, you can either go back to the beginning or move to the next one, which is Hunters: heart and Soul, followed by Hunter’s Salvation.
The ‘prequels’ Malachi & The Huntress can be read pretty much whenever.
The ‘original’ series order would be:
Hunters The Beginning (books 1 & 2)
Hunters Interlude (books 3 & 4)
Hunters Ben and Shadoe (book 5)
Hunters Rafe and Sheila (book 6)
There are also three titles that are sort of spin offs-set within the world but not really connected to any of the major characters in the earlier books, those titles are
Hunter’s Pride (in print)
Hunter’s Edge (coming in print 5/09)
Belonging (only in ebook)
Since the series ended up getting placed at three different publishers, keeping them straight wasn’t very easy, but I tried to write most of them so they’d work well as standalone. The only two that are best read in order are Hunters heart and Soul and Hunter’s Salvation

I love your Hunter Series. I just started reading your books after reading “Blood Kiss” in “Hot Spell”. I LOVED that story! I had picked it up because Lora Leigh is one of my favorites in Paranormal Romance and I have to say, you are now as well. I liked all the stories but the stage is set for me with the first, what I call, major characters (Tori, Declan, Eli, etc.). I like it when they showed up in more than one book. I bought all the others on ebook. I had wished that they were longer, and now that you are going that route, a happy camper am I. Don’t mind waiting on a good read. Thanks!
March 25, 2009 at 7:08 am
I’m alittle new to the hunter series and I was wondering if there was a book for mike and leanda?
March 28, 2009 at 10:23 pm
Love your Hunter series. You are among the few authors I spend money on twice first in ebook and then in print. Keep the Hunters coming. I have them all in print.
April 5, 2009 at 12:10 pm
I have read almost all of the hunter books and was wondering if one of your next stories would be about Agnes and what is happening to her in Morgans body.
April 5, 2009 at 10:18 pm
Hi Barbara
Yes, Nessa is getting a book. If she cooperates, it will be the one I start on after my current project.
April 24, 2009 at 10:24 pm
I love all of your books and have them all. I was just rereading your entire series and, when going through Kendall’s book, questions started popping up about what happened to Duke. Is he going to make a guest appearance in another book, or get a book of his own (hopefully)? Does he end up with Analise? Because I can see that!
April 25, 2009 at 1:30 pm
Will you be writing about Agnes? I love her character. And if you do plan to write about her will it be soon?
April 26, 2009 at 9:18 am
hi Sheree, yes nessa is getting a story. It’s going to be written later this year, I believe.
April 26, 2009 at 9:18 am
Hi Heather, Yeah, Duke and Ana have a story. It comes out in December, titled Hunter’s Need.
April 26, 2009 at 8:02 pm
Yey! I’m so excited now! Thanks
April 27, 2009 at 4:33 pm
Hi Shiloh Walker,
I just started reading the Hunter Series over the weekend and I am wanting for the 5th book to come in the mail. I have to say this series is going to be in my top 3 Paranormal Romance series ( and I’ve read many) . I LOVE the characters and the world they live in.
I have to know will Erika ever get a book once she’s an adult?
I know that witches/shifter are considered long lived rather than immortal like vampires, but if they were to bond to one another ( ex Lori and Jonathan) will they become immortal now?
Thanks
April 27, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Hi Nate
That’s a complicated question-the world I created, a witch who bonded with a vamp would be *more* long-lived, but not necessarily immortal-a bonded pair lifespan would sort of merge-the vamp wouldn’t really age, but he isn’t necessarily looking at eternity either. His/her mate would live much longer, but again, not necessarily facing eternity.
I can’t really say about Erika, because I haven’t thought about it yet. In my mind, she’s still too young for a story, but that could change later on.
Glad you enjoy the books.:)
April 28, 2009 at 10:02 pm
I love your books, the first book that I started reading of yours was The Missing and then I found Through The Veil, and then eventually I found the Hunter’s Series, and the one thing I was always wondering, I read above that you were giving Nessa a story, she is absolutely by far my favorite character, and now I am so excited, and LITERALLY cannot wait until I get to read it. Thanks for all of your books that have kept me entertained for hours.
May 7, 2009 at 2:50 am
I’ve kept up pretty well with the reading order of the Hunters series until after Hunter’s Salvation. I noted 4 additional books or stories/novellas since but am not sure of the reading order. Could you let me know what order to read these in: Hunter’s Choice, Hunter’s Mercy, Hunter’s Edge, & of Belonging. I really enjoy the world and will continue reading even with the change of direction to print. Thanks for the clarification.
May 7, 2009 at 11:34 am
Hey Kim
You can find the reading order at the Hunters area on my site, but each of those titles was written to work as a standalone. Chronologically, Hunter’s Mercy would be first because it’s a historical. Hunter’s Choice doesn’t really fit into a ‘time’ period at all, because no other Hunter characters are mentioned in the book. Hunter’s Edge and Belonging chronologically come after Rafe & Sheila.

Dear Mrs. Walker,
The first book I ever read by you happened to be number seven in the Hunter’s series. The minute I finished that book you were my new fav erotic genre author right there next to Lora Leigh. I love this series. I’ve been reading all I can get my hands on from this series. I was upset that the series finished (I thought this until now). Thanks to your new site I am happy to place a couple of more books on my list. At the moment I am not reading them in order but that can’t be helped. Thanks so much for writing such an awesome series I look forward to more books from you!
Excited about Agnese’s book. Her story is so heart wrenching I cried at the latest book were she **** (Spoiler so won’t mention). She deserves a happy ending I mean she waited so long and was giving up. That is just too sad. Can’t wait to hear more. Grins.
June 8, 2009 at 7:53 pm
Marina, I’m glad you like the Hunters. And nope, it’s not done. Still plenty of people so I’ll keep it up until the characters start to bore me.
June 11, 2009 at 11:19 pm
Dear Mrs. Walker,
Smiles. That was great to learn. Good to hear it. I hope they never bore you. Grins.
July 17, 2009 at 12:54 pm
hey Shiloh Walker, seriously i love your writing. it started with Tori & Declan, but now I have all your ebooks also. when you can take a person out of their miserable day and place them in your world, and give a little bit of “me” time, its a wonderful thing. people are always asking me for my favorite authors and i can list like 10 off the top of my head. but 3 or 4 of them stay the same everytime. and you ms. walker are right up there with lora leigh and laurell k hamilton. i can only hope my words can can do the same.

I am like totally pissed. I read all the books of the Hunters from Ellora’s Cave and I guess Shiloh changed publishers for the remainder of these books and I totally missed out. (I love this series. Thanks for doing it Shiloh. I just wish I would have known you changed publishers). I went from Rafe and Sheila’s story to I’ll be hunting you and to Belonging and totally missed out on Malachi’s and Kelsey’s and Leandra and Mike’s story. I could not figure out what was going on when I read Belonging, until I came to this website. Bummer. I hate when publishers get changed. I hope these come to ebook soon. Thanks for writing them. I much enjoyed the series. Terri
August 17, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Hi Terri… with the exception of one title, HUNTING THE HUNTER, the rest of the Hunters are in ebook format-you can find them at the Sony Ebook Store if you have a sony reader, thru the Publisher’s site, or sites like http://www.diesel-ebooks.com/. I hope that helps…I keep a running list of all the available Hunter books on my site. Glad you enjoy the series!
