I love ebooks. I love having 200+ books at my fingertips without all the bulky bookcases. I mean, I can’t take the bookcases on a trip. So in tribute to ebooks, for this week’s Thursday Thirteen, I naming 13 ebooks I have saved on my PC.
- Lucavarious By Stephanie Burke. This was the first vamp I read from Ellora’s Cave. Love, love LOVE it. Love Dark. Love Luca, did Steph ever write the other story… grumble grumble
- Mythe: Vampire by Me…. Yes, I keep mine on the PC to use for giveaways, but I keep this one on hand because I have a niggling inkling of the third book and sometimes reading the previous one spurs the imagination for me.
- Illumination By SL Viehl. This is a freebie offered on her blog. If you’ve read her Stardoc books, but not this one… GET IT. I don’t care if you don’t read ebooks… you want this one. It’s told from DUNCAN’S point of view. I love Duncan.
- Ice Queen By Joey Hill. Anything Joey writes is gold as far as I’m concerned. But beware, Joey writes serious BDSM. This isn’t for the faint hearted.
- Natural Law By Joey Hill. See above.
) - Seize The Hunter By Michelle Pillow. I haven’t read this one yet, but I’m getting close and it looks awesome.
- Broken Wings by Lora Leigh. A fantasy. One of my fave authors writing the genre that is nearest and dearest to me, even if I don’t read fantasy much lately. This one is gooooooodddd.
- Nauti Bouy by Lora Leigh. What, you can’t find this on ebook? Nope, and you won’t either. I got it when it was out from Samhain but then Berkley requested it, so it will be out from them in March.
- King of Spades by Cheyenne McCray, another BDSM book, but not quite as hard core. And I love Lexi. She’s a kickbutt heroine.
- Reinvention of Chastity by Eve Vaughn I haven’t read this one yet…bought it after a recommendation on Karen Scott’s blog and I’m going to read it soon, but it looks wonderful
- Captive Dreams by Angela Knight & Diane Whiteside… another ebook that is no longer in ebook. But you can buy the anthology in print from the bookstore. I have both versions.
- Cowboy & the Captive by Lora Leigh. I love this one by her. Okay, I love everything of hers I’ve read, but I really loved this one.
- Dream Shadow by Mary Wine. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If you haven’t read Mary Wine, you’re missing out. She writes romantic suspense on par with some of the best I’ve ever read, Linda Howard, JD Robb…. Dream Shadow is one of my fave books ever.

Hello, I came here through the T13 blog. I posted after you.
I love to read but have never tried ebooks. You and I have very different tastes in books but I would love to try this venue for reading. Thanks for sharing your favorites.
My T13 is up. I hope you will stop by.

I have to admit, I’ve been very slow to warm to ebooks. I love the idea – anything that will let me resize the font in later years when I have to squint gets my vote!! – but I loveloveLOVE having a physical book to curl up with, cats resting on either side, relaxing in bed with a cup of cocoa.
I know. I should step into the late 90s already…
Thanks for sharing your list! I’m not a romance fan, but I love finding other bibliophiles!! We may not have much overlap book-shelf-wise, but the fact that we both have fully-stocked bookshelves – yay!
February 8, 2007 at 3:16 am
You just have be like May and taunt us lowly peons with your ARCs don’t you?
February 8, 2007 at 3:17 am
Great list–I want to check these out! Happy TT!

Happy TT!
I am slowly being converted to the world of e-books; I’m glad you shared this. I’m not much of an on-screen reader, so for me, e-books may always be something like audios — great for those who like ‘em, but not for me.
I’ll have to come back and let you teach me more about this brave new publishing world. Too bad I can’t be part of it; I write pretty mainstream commercial stuff.
February 8, 2007 at 3:27 am
I like the idea of having the books but not having to dust them on the shelves….
February 8, 2007 at 3:32 am
Now Racy…all of these are available… or well, Lora’s will be. I just got it when it at the epub.
I didn’t do any taunting here. I could have. You read Angela Knight? I’ve got Master of Dragons. But I was behaving!
February 8, 2007 at 3:33 am
I know most of these are romance or erotic romance, but that’s just cuz not too many e pubs specialize in other than romance or erotic romance. I read almost everything, when I’m in the mood.
February 8, 2007 at 3:45 am
gee, looks like some of the books in my puter too. *g*
Didn’t realize that we were both on TT #7 …weird. I’m up. TBR stack. I just left off the S.L. Viehl, so you can add the comment about that. LOL smoochies
February 8, 2007 at 3:55 am
Anni, I just know figured them out. Five here, two at the V&S blog.
February 8, 2007 at 4:16 am

I love taking ebooks with me (on my iPaq) when I’m camping. Since I read so much it’s great to be able to bring lots of things to read without having to worry about carting around the actual books.
Thanks for the great list, I’ll be checking out some of your recommendations.
February 8, 2007 at 5:55 am
Great list. I’ve only read one of those.
February 8, 2007 at 6:27 am
I haven’t read any of these books, but e-books are nice. It is just that it’s hard for me to read an entire book online.
My TT is up.
February 8, 2007 at 11:43 am
Interesting. I’ve never gotten into e-books. You’re right, carrying books while traveling is a pain. I just don’t think I enjoy reading from a screen as much as reading with a book in my hands. Great post. Thanks for visiting my TT, too.
February 8, 2007 at 12:02 pm
I’ve never read an ebook but I wll surely try some of the books on your list.
Mine’s up! Hope you can drop by!
February 8, 2007 at 1:07 pm
I’ve only ever bought one ebook, but I am interested in trying out some ebook fiction. Thanks for sharing your faves, I’ll try some out soon.
My TT is up too.

February 8, 2007 at 3:37 pm
I’m going to have to get an ebook reader someday… It would be perfect for trips. I’m going to LA for over a week, and I don’t really want to bring along 5 or 6 books. I need room for shoes!
February 8, 2007 at 3:39 pm
I have heard so many good things about the Joey Hill books…gotta get one! I think the new one that’s coming out–something about the Slave of the Vampire Queen–sounds great!
February 8, 2007 at 3:47 pm
I love Joey’s books too. And Lora, of course. She rocks. Chey’s King of Hearts was my favorite of the 4.
February 8, 2007 at 4:04 pm
I love ebooks! I haven’t read any on your list because they seem to be in a genre I don’t usually read…however…this year I’m reaching out to embrace the other genres so I think I’ll have to check one of these out!! Thanks for sharing!
February 8, 2007 at 4:05 pm

February 8, 2007 at 4:15 pm
I don’t have as many ebooks as I’d like to. Now I’m going to have to go out and find some of these, they sounds awesome!
Happy TT!
February 8, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Thanks for the tips! I love reading and e-books are an easy and cheaper way to get books from the USA (I’m in The Netherlands).
My TT is about types of support.
February 8, 2007 at 5:44 pm
Lucavarious is one I loved, but had forgotten all about. Great book. Natural Law is on my top list of ebooks. I *love* that one. Happy TT!

Thanks Tink and Anni!
February 8, 2007 at 7:10 pm
I haven’t read any of these but I recently finished Dangerous Games (not an ebook) by Lora Leigh. I actually liked it even though I wouldn’t normally read anything with bdsm content. The suspense was terrific.
Great TT!
February 8, 2007 at 8:44 pm
I love e-books. They totally rock. I submitted the paper back way. One day I’ll get the guts to finish my piece that I’ll try to submit to EC.
Great TT!
P.S.: Your “Once Upon a Midnight Blue” was the first ebook I ever bought, you got me hooked!

Thank you, Amy!

I’m only on book three of the StarDoc books, but I’ll have to go download the free book.
And read Seize the Hunter and Reinvention of Chastity. I promise they’re good books. Girl Scout’s honor
Of course, I’m not biased in any way…
